| Today is my first day to go back to work after getting my throat worked over by a little invisible bug known as Streptococcus or Strep for short. My throat had been hurting off and on for several days last week. Thursday night, Leslie and I went out with some friends from work and had dinner at Mi Cocina. About halfway through dinner I started feeling really bad. My throat was on fire! We went home about 10:30pm and I spent the rest of the night in agonizing pain. I think I slept maybe two hours. The next day I decided I'd have to bite the bullet and go to the doctor. I was given two shots in the Gluteus Maximus. I started feeling better within 3 hours and by 10:00am Saturday morning I felt 100% well except for the sandpaper texture to my throat which is gone now. Ah... the joys of bacteria. |
