 I'm the kind of guy who gets a little moody now and then. I'm not always happy and not always grumpy. I tend to fluctuate. Things can be rough at work, trouble with the kids or some other outside influence and it can impact the way I treat other people. I know this is not right and I am trying to be better.
My Wife on the other hand is an almost constant. She rarely lets my mood swings affect her. She stands next to me through the tough and the easy. She loves me during the good and the bad. She tries very hard to make sure everything works out for the good and she always looks for the good in everything and everyone. She's the kind of person I wish I was more like. She's the kind of person I NEED to help me be a better person.
My Wife is Beautiful - Beautiful in a way I can never explain. Yes she is pretty, lots of guys check her out. I've seen it! But that is not what I mean. To me, in my eyes, there is not a more beautiful woman on the planet. Those girls in the lingerie catalogs don't even compare to the beauty of my wife.
My Wife is Smart - We can share conversation about anything for hours on end. I can explain anything to her and she gets it - but more than that, she teaches me things! We learn and grow from each other as we experience life together.
My Wife is Loving - She loves me. She loves the kids. She loves her friends. She loves people. She would do almost anything to make us happy. She is the one who always makes sure the holidays and birthdays are special. Anytime one of us is in need, she is right there to help.
My Wife is Patient - She waits. She is not quick to jump to conclusion. She always waits patiently and then gently persudes our children (and even me) to do the right thing, even when its not the easy thing to do. She is patient with love.
I truly am the luckiest person in the world.
Happy Valentines Day Leslie! You truly are everything I need and want. I love you from the bottom of my soul. |
